Getting Started with CentOS

CentOS is a very powerful operating system, and it can be overwhelming at first if you have never used Linux before. This chapter hopes to dispel the myth that “Linux is hard” and give you a firm grounding to tackle the rest of the book. If you're coming to CentOS from another Linux distribution, then you're probably going to want to skip this chapter because it focuses on some Linux fundamentals that you're most likely to have already mastered.
