Assignment: Prepare Your Castle for Camera Projection, and Set Up the Maya File
Having followed along using the demonstration file, you should now do the same process using your own castle painting finished in Chapter 7. To prepare the painting for camera projection, do the following:
1. Collapse your many layered castle painting file down to a minimum number of layers, with each layer representing a major element in the painting. Suggested layers for the painting are:
- Two layers for the castle.
- One layer for the hill the castle is placed on.
- One layer for the water.
- One layer for the sky.
- Additional layers can be created for other major elements in your castle painting.
2. Prepare a color channel, and an alpha channel for each layer.
