Since the Canon XTi/400D gives you precise control over exposure, it helps to know when you might want to make changes to your default settings. By optimizing the image capture for a particular subject or visual effect, you increase the quality of your image’s expression.
ISO Sensitivity
Think of sensitivity as film speed. The numbers and nomenclature are the same: ISO 100 for bright light, ISO 400 for less light/fast movement, ISO 800 and above for even darker situations. One big advantage of digital imaging over film-based imaging is the ability to change sensitivity at will, as conditions warrant.
