Appendix A – About the Feature Images

Front cover image: These beach rocks were captured in 2007 while I was on a trip I took for my longterm personal project. (The project is to photograph and document all the remaining lighthouses in Canada. There are a LOT of lighthouses, which is why it’s a long-term project.) Back at my computer, I tried several different approaches to editing the image, but I was never satisfied with any version I came up with, either in color or black-and-white. Years later, I worked on it again, but this time with the DZS, and it finally came to life for me!
