CHALLENGES VS. PROBLEMS

Before discussing rehearsal challenges, it is important to understand the psychological difference between a challenge and a problem. Challenges are obstacles that provide an opportunity. Problems are obstacles that must be overcome in order to proceed. While it feels good to overcome the problem, it is not something to which one looks forward. Crossing a mountain can be seen as either a challenge or a problem. To mountain climbers, the mountain presents a unique challenge, an opportunity.
