Chapter 10The Organic Brand
There is something special about building an organic brand. You've heard of organic food, right? Well, I guess an organic brand is similar. There are so many brands online that it gets kind of confusing when you try to figure out who's the real deal or not. There are so many copycats. We all say kind of the same stuff, and there is nothing new under the sun. We're building the best we know how and doing it the way we know how. There are differences in brands based on race, age, demographics, and so on. I've seen some people who may not know the things I know, but they have an amazing website builder who makes their stuff look terrific. Then I see some people who know more than me but they have no website. There are people who know nothing for themselves and piece together everyone else's work and call it their own, and they build a very believable brand.
One day I was having a talk with an industry insider, who was telling me about a couple of brands that I've seen online. One guy on YouTube paid $200,000 in YouTube ads to expose his video to millions of people to sell them a course. Thousands of people have bought his course, and it made him millions of dollars and an overnight authority. The guy says he reads a book a day, so that implies he's teaching you stuff he's learned from other people and making a great living from it. Then there was a guy on Facebook with millions of likes on his page. Well, that guy boasts about Facebook ads and promotion. ...
