Chapter 13THE CONSCIOUSNESS TO CHOOSE
At some point, we all arrive at the moment in which we recognize our ability to choose who we wish to be. We begin to tap into our creativity, discovering new and better ways to meet our needs. When this happens, we begin to differentiate who we are from others. Based on what we want and how we get it, we begin to see ourselves as individuals. Soon thereafter, the first experiences of consciousness arrive and we learn to recognize our emotions. We discover what were once our hidden motives. The place we eventually arrive at is consciousness.
