STRESS WARNING SIGNS

How can you tell when you are stressed? If you suffer from mild stress, it will be obvious, but if you are experiencing long-term stress, you may not even notice it. Here are some warning signs:

  • Inability to think clearly.
  • Emotional distress, fatigue or numbness.
  • Repetitively worrying about the same things.
  • Feeling tired a great deal.
  • Experiencing constant aches and pains.
  • Increase in addictive behaviours such as smoking, drinking.
  • Repeated illnesses like colds, flu and backache.

Through practising body consciousness exercises (Chapter 2), you will start to detect stress a lot earlier as symptoms you may have been desensitised to become more apparent. In addition you will be able to start eliminating stress.
