FOR THE RECORD, I am not a fashion expert. However, as a photographer, I do know whether or not the colors my subject is wearing for a portrait shoot are problematic or distracting.

On the technical side, clothing color can present potential distractions or exposure issues in your images. Since aggressive colors attract the eye more than calmer, recessive colors, it makes sense that an overly bright shirt can attract attention from a great face (Figure 48.1).
