COLOR IS AN extremely powerful and relatively subjective variable in conveying emotion and personality in your images. When we think about a certain color, it often brings to mind descriptors that are either culturally related or emotionally charged. For example, red is commonly used to describe anger, power, and sensuality (Figure 49.1). Green, on the other hand, can stand for life and growth, as well as toxicity (Figure 49.2).
