THIS PROJECT CREATES a classic pinhole lens for any interchangeable-lens camera you own. Pinhole cameras have a long and proud history in the world of photography. They were among the first optical systems scientists used to explore the heavens. Aristotle wrote about pinhole images in the 4th century, and astronomer Gemma Frisus used the pinhole in his darkened room to study the solar eclipse of 1544. It wasn’t until the 1800s that pinhole camera obscuras were able to capture an image on photo-sensitive paper.
