44. HOW TO PREVENT CONTENT-AWARE TOOLS FROM SAMPLING SPECIFIC AREAS

IF YOU FIND that Content-Aware Fill is sampling too much of an area that you do not want sampled, you can hide that area before performing a fill.

Let’s use the image from the previous lesson as an example. First, I’m going to use the Lasso tool to make a selection around the element that I would like to hide from Content-Aware Fill (Figure 44.1). I can click on the Add layer mask icon in the Layers panel to hide that information (Figure 44.2).
