EVEN THOUGH THE iOS camera app lets you adjust the exposure (as shown in the previous section), you’ve probably noticed that there are times when it’s hard to arrive at a good balance between the very brightest and darkest parts of the scene. In exposing to get the dark shadows looking the way you want, for example, the highlights may be too overexposed or vice versa (Figure 9.1).
