43. UNDERSTAND THE VIDEO SETTINGS

YOU CAN ACCESS the video preferences in iOS 11 by opening the Settings and scrolling down until you find the Camera settings (Figure 43.1). In earlier versions of iOS the camera and photo settings are grouped together.

  • Preserve Settings: This is very useful if you want the camera app to always open into video mode, so you can be ready to record at a moment’s notice. There’s not a specific setting for this, but you can set the camera to open up to the last camera mode you used (Figure 43.2).
