A good CEO is always fund-raising. Seek opportunities to get to know VCs. Make all of them want to invest in you and decide which ones you like. Think of VCs as potential partners.
Never e-mail more than one VC at the same firm. It’s tempting to just blast all of them with your executive summary and pray that one of them will get excited by your multibillion-dollar opportunity, but don’t do it. That’s basically like putting ketchup on your sushi. It’s just not cool; so don’t do it.
