Employee Handbooks
TWO VERSIONS FOR TWO DIFFERENT PURPOSES
Why in the world would you want to have two different employee handbooks? Remember the primary purpose of new employee orientation and bringing on board? To instill values!
The standard employee handbook does not accomplish that goal. Most employee handbooks are boring, legalistic documents full of heretofores and here-inafters, full of don’ts and shoulds, with a form that is signed in duplicate to confirm that the new employee has actually read the handbook and understood it, and is then filed in his personnel folder. Now, isn’t that a warm and fuzzy welcome?
