Whether or not an organisation is moving to cloud services purely for cost reasons, the service will still need to be paid for. Unfortunately, in many ways this is still the black art of cloud. There are few accepted basic ways to compare one cloud service’s costs against another’s. Plus, as the market is still evolving, prices are changing on a continual basis and new services are being brought to market with different cost models.
