Chapter 1
1. It is tragic that the leaders of technology companies try to use government power to attack their competitors. The antitrust attack on Microsoft was led by Microsoft’s competitors. These companies are then surprised when the government attacks them. Unfortunately, many business leaders are crony capitalists. They do not want a level playing field. They want some special favor from the government.
2. I started to title the book How Greenspan, Bernanke, Paulson, Frank, Dodd, Geithner, Johnson, Clinton, and Bush Caused the Financial Crisis, but it seemed a bit long.
3. I also thought about titling the book How the Critique of Pure Reason by Immanuel Kant (1783) Caused the Financial Crisis, but that was too obscure for most people, ...
