The Summer portfolio
Investment principles and stratagems are best illustrated when put into action. This chapter provides an insight into some of the factors we consider when managing a ‘real’ investment trust portfolio. Our website’s ‘Summer’ portfolio has been in existence since January 2009, since when other portfolios have been gradually introduced. But before highlighting its composition and strategy, it is important to understand the portfolio’s position in relation to a wider investment journey of which it is part.
