HOW TO BE INCLUSIVE WHEN COMMUNICATING

In this chapter, we will focus on how we can be inclusive when communicating. Language is a powerful tool: we may use thousands of words per day, mostly unconsciously because of the speed with which we operate in the workplace. We will discuss the impact of how we communicate, and how we can still be inclusive with our language even when we’re working against time.

Inclusive language is free from words, phrases or tones that reflect prejudiced, stereotyped or discriminatory views of particular people or groups.
