Modeling Techniques

11.1 Introduction

In this chapter, various modeling techniques for creating FEM models will be introduced, many of which have been discussed in NAFEMS (1986). These techniques are necessary when carrying out finite element analysis to help to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results obtained. With the development in the power of computer hardware and software, a FEM analysis can now be performed with ease.
