So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Importing Media into Final Cut Pro X
Importing media into Final Cut Pro X is straightforward and trouble-free and this takes place in what is called the Media Import window. More often than not you will import media either (i) directly from the camera or the media card which has recorded the images in-camera (ii) from hard drive.
Often when importing from hard drive the media will already have been converted to a QuickTime format; if so Final Cut Pro X will recognize the files straight away.
