This entire book is worthless, if you don't take action. If you've read anything before and thought, “Yeah, that really made me feel good” and then went back to whatever it is you're doing, you'll know what I mean. This first became obvious to me when I started tracking how people talked about my books online. Here's what I'd see, over and over again:

People seem to believe that finishing a book is the same as doing something with the information. You, friend, have the opportunity to leap past your well-read friends who opted not to take any specific actions. Yes, you have the chance to take action, fight crime, and save the world!

Step 1: Declare Your Freakiness (Even If Only to Yourself)

First off, admit that you're a freak, and by that I mean that you intend to do business your way, that you want business to be personal, that you believe that the best business is the kind that keeps your heart in mind along the way. Step 2: Define Your Own Success

How will you know you're doing well if you have no idea what success means to you? You have to list out, literally on paper or in your favorite note-taking software, a definition of success. It has to be really specific:

  • 1,000 regular customers.
  • $1 million a year in revenue.
  • Running an eight-minute ...
