INTRODUCTION TO RIGGING
The process of safely hanging weight overhead is known as rigging. The concept may seem simple, but it is truly a feat of engineering and science. Improper rigging can not only result in the destruction of expensive equipment, but more importantly can seriously injure or kill those below. At no time, regardless of the situation, should rigging be performed by anyone other than trained and professional rigging specialists.
