A Donor Bill of Rights

In the late 1980s, four trade organizations representing professional fundraising practitioners began to develop a set of principles known today as A Donor Bill of Rights. Their goals included “to assist donors in making decisions about charities, believing informed decision making would assist donors and charities in forging stronger, more productive relationships that would ultimately benefit the recipients of charitable support.”
