eBay and PayPal: Registration, Bidding and Buying

Registration

To take advantage of all the potential eBay has to offer, you must first register with eBay and PayPal. You might be asking yourself, “Why in the world would you have to register with PayPal to attain success on eBay?” Not only is PayPal (www.paypal.com) the official payment website for all of eBay’s transactions, but it’s also the easiest, most secure way to do business with the auction website.

Million $ Tip

A few credit cards give their customers some level of buyer protection against breakage and theft for the first 90 days of ownership. Call your credit card Issuer to see if your credit card qualifies for this benefit.

The process of registration on both eBay and PayPal is a very simple and straightforward fill-in-the-blanks process. Almost all the data fields that need to be filled out to register on eBay and PayPal are many of the usual data fields you find on the majority of websites. Examples include name, current address, e-mail address and date of birth. After filling out the proper forms, all you have to do is create a unique user ID and password and agree to the terms and conditions of each website. Once this is completed, you are now officially registered with both eBay and PayPal.

Million $ Tip

When setting up your PayPal Account, use a credit card and not a bank account. This will add an extra layer of protection to all of your PayPal transactions.
