Now You Know the Rest of the Story

The best decision you can make to guarantee that you receive proper value for your collectible items at resale is to have your items graded. There are two directions you can take to have your collectible items graded: self-grading or hiring a professional. When you are ready to sell your valuable treasures, be it in person or online, all of your potential customers will want to know everything there is about what you are trying to sell. All this is accomplished through the process of grading. By providing your customers with as much detail as possible about your items, you will have a better chance to complete every sale and also make the most money.

Million $ Tip

If your treasure is a baseball card, comic book, limited edition collectible or coin, you will have no problem finding a value.

Million $ Tip

The condition of your item will greatly change the value.

Million $ Tip

Retail value and what you can get selling it to a retailer are going to be different. Stores that are known for collectibles have a following and can receive top dollar for an item. If a store is selling something for $100, they probably paid about $50 for the item.

Million $ Tip

If a dealer offers you money for your item and the amount is not enough, you can negotiate the price with them. I recommend you always ask for more during your negotiations. Dealers’ first offers are usually low.
