Sir Isaac Newton once said, “For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.” This quote directly relates to the following section of the book. As great as the previously mentioned collectibles are with regard to money-making potential, what follows is a detailed description of the equal and opposite collectibles that are not worth your time. Dealing with the following collectibles will do one thing and one thing only: waste your time and money.
Million $ Tip
Fad collectibles are the types of collectibles that are really hot one moment and really cold the next. With fad collectibles the excitement of a new collectible skyrockets and the price shoots up almost immediately. Then, when the collectible falls out of favor, the value plummets, never to be worth much again.
Beanie Babies
The number one fad collectible of all time, and an item that may be the worst collectible of all time is, in my opinion, the Beanie Baby. A fad collectible is an item which when released for sale is extremely popular. A better description would be that the popularity of most fad collectibles starts out off the charts and the masses go absolutely crazy for them upon their release.
