The field of gender communication has always been a topic of interest and confusion. Most of us realize that men and women have different styles, but we can’t put our finger on what component of communication contributed to the mix-up. Because we are unaware of the stylistic differences that exist between men and women, we will often accuse the other sex of having bad intentions, being rude, or being just plain ignorant. We think they are the ones with the problem. But we must start with ourselves. We each have a responsibility in the communication process.
