The scripts that are distributed with Ghidra and the scripts we created in Chapter 14 are relatively simple. The coding required was minimal, which greatly simplified the development and testing phases. The basic script editor provided by Ghidra’s Script Manager is fine for quick-and-dirty work, but it lacks the sophistication to manage complex projects. For more substantial tasks, Ghidra provides a plugin that facilitates development using the Eclipse development environment.
