8.7. PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT AS A METAPHOR FOR GLOBAL DIVERSITY

The performance management session is a metaphor for global diversity. It rightly reflects the core of the corporate culture and its true spirit. For that reason, the competencies of the rater and the structure and style of a global performance management system must reflect global inclusiveness and cross-national respect.

Raters with a global diversity perspective should be well-prepared to meet a global standard that recognizes a proven ability to

  • Mirror communication style of the ratee;
