Case Synopsis
Valor Insurance Company (VIC) began its operations more than 40 years ago. Since then, it has been acknowledged as one of Colombia’s best firms to work for due to recognition of its family-focused corporate culture. In 2014, Star Insures (a multinational reinsurance company) bought 51% of VIC, generating the opening of new lines of business. This purchase brought insecurity and instability for employees, and due to financial situations, during 2018 and 2019, some layoffs were made.
