EDITING: THE FINAL PHASE

People are often tempted to ignore the final editing phase, but doing so is risky. A thoughtful editorial review is the last line of defense for every document.

It’s important to review your work to make sure that your writing achieves its purpose; your ideas are stated clearly and correctly; and your writing is free of spelling, grammatical, and other mechanical errors. Remember, even professional writers rely on editors to cast a critical eye on their work.
