An example of how Scripps works as a family—When I first moved out here, I had been married less than a year and had inherited three teenagers. Four months later my husband got deployed. So, new area, new mom, freaked out husband in war zone. My coworkers totally rallied around me, totally rearranged my hours so that I never had to be the early person so that I could get the kids to school, never had to be the late person so that I could be there when they got home from school. They kept me sane.
