No matter how well you’ve set up your green screen studio with the proper background materials and lighting, if you shoot with inferior gear, then it’s all for naught. For truly clean green or blue screen footage, you need a minimum of a low-end pro high-definition (HD) camera to avoid edge artifacts and interlacing issues commonly found in standard definition (SD) and consumer HD cameras. This is not to say that it can’t be done on older or cheaper camera gear, but you’re going to make the compositing in post much more difficult.
