So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Sometimes things go wrong. What if you didn’t follow instructions in the previous chapters and recorded something poorly lit? What if someone walks off the green background for a few frames? Well, it probably wasn’t your fault, was it? You were given that lousy footage and told that you needed to make something from it! Yes, that has happened to me time after time—some hotshot director decided it was sufficient to throw a piece of green material way back in the background. Or perhaps they thought it was fine to let available light from the rest of the set illuminate the green screen. You’re now faced with having to composite the result.
