Mobile Platforms
Introduction
Now we’ve come to the “new hotness” within the book: iOS. While many who live in the networking world will immediately associate that acronym with Cisco, it is sadly not so stable, secure, or simple as all that. As desperate as Apple is to keep the iOS internals locked away from the prying eyes of mankind, there will always be those who wish to do what they please with the hardware they rightfully purchased. While the previous statement is a bit of a philosophical difference of opinion (and perhaps a debatably legal one) it is still a true statement, as proven by the large number community members dedicated to “jailbreaking” new versions of iOS within days of their initial release.
