UNIVERSAL SPIRITUAL PRINCIPLES AND PRACTICES

Contrasting religious traditions are often linked by underlying spiritual principles. These principles, which show up in the literature of religions around the world and are supported by secular experience, open the heart, put one in touch with a larger consciousness, and expand one’s vision. A few examples:

Acceptance. Central to Buddhism and other spiritual traditions, acceptance is simply the ability to take life as it comes and to be at peace with oneself and one’s circumstances.
