Use an XBee Module for Remote Control

2 XBee modules

2 XBee adapters

1 USB-to-XBee adapter

1 USB cable—type-A to mini-B

1 3.3-volt DC power supply

1 LED

1 220-ohm, 1/4-watt resistor, 10% (red-brown-red)

1 Solderless breadboard

Digi X-CTU software running on a Windows PC, with an open USB port

Introduction

In Experiment 3 you learned how a transmitter module (XMTR) could send information about the state of a digital input to a receiver module (RCVR). The received information shown in the X-CTU Terminal let you determine the logic state of the input pin at the XMTR module.
