Like with anything in photography, working with HDR images will require three distinct things: hardware, software, and technique. On the hardware front, you don’t require that many things to set up an HDR series. Camera aside, the hardware listed can even be seen as recommended, rather than required—you can make HDR images without it. What you’ll find, however, is that while the images will certainly be good, it’s the extra investment in the hardware that can take them to the next level.
