High performers are motivated by recognition for work done. Without recognizing them, you create a culture of mediocrity and empower average and poor performers to take over your organization.

 

Leaders must be thorough when it comes to judging performance. We have defined leadership as relationships × results. Results matter in the leadership equation. In fact, the final test of a good leader is results. Did he improve the personal effectiveness of his individual players? Did he produce results? Did he make the organization or state better?
