STATISTICAL PROCESS CONTROL
Using statistics to measure quality
Statistical process control objectively evaluates the performance of a process by measuring the current state of the process and drawing conclusions based on statistical analysis. You can both ensure that a process falls within particular specifications and determine whether a process is capable of meeting its design specifications.
Control charts establish lower and upper limits that are used to decide whether a process is operating satisfactorily.Process capability compares the actual performance of a process to the expected performance to determine whether the process is capable of performing as expected.
