So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Abstract
In this chapter, you will learn how FTP provides a method to move files around the Internet. We’ll examine various aspects of FTP as a protocol and as an application, showing how commands translate to protocol actions, which tend to be masked when using point-and-cliock GUI interfaces.
You will learn about the differences between FTP’s active and passive modes of operation. We’ll discuss how security concerns affect the operation of FTP.
