Reflecting on the joy in learning and contributing that Jim witnessed from the early improvement efforts, he was most interested in ensuring that the leaders in the organization at all levels had access to proper development. One of his friends, Orville Joseph, a CEO and owner of his own company, counseled Jim to ensure that his people learn the science of improvement.
