THE AUTHORS
All of the authors are part of a unique professional collaboration called Associates in Process Improvement (API). The aim of the collaboration is to develop and apply methods for the improvement of quality and value. The collaboration within API has benefitted individual organizations on six continents, in many industries, and the field of quality improvement in general. The collaboration has resulted in four books, numerous articles, and thousands of presentations. Three of API’s current or former clients have been recipients of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. API’s roots are in the theory and philosophy of W. Edwards Deming.
