8.6. PoC XDM application usages

8.6.1. PoC group

A PoC group is the list of PoC participants who can take part in a PoC session as well as additional PoC-specific properties such as auto-answering of incoming PoC call requests.

[OMA-TS-PoC_XDM-V1_0-20050428-C] defines the XML schema along with its semantics. It defines the AUID as "org.openmobilealliance.poc-groups".

PoC group application usage contains the following:

  • a URI representing the PoC group identity;

  • a display name for the group;

  • one or more lists of group members (URIs);

  • an indication as to whether the group members will be invited to the PoC session by the PoC server or not;

  • a maximum number of participants for a particular PoC session from that group;

  • an authorization policy associated with the group.

Each list of group members needs to contain entries identifying a single user by a SIP or tel URI, or a reference to an external list URI.

The structure of the authorization policy (also referred to as a "ruleset") must conform to the Common Policy, described in more detail in Chapter 26. The conditions for such an authorization policy include the identity of the participant, the identity of a participant derived from an external list, other identities that are not present in any rule and a condition that checks whether the user is a list member.
