Chapter 6 Advertising

Advertising is traditionally an area that many indies tend to ignore, primarily due to lack of funds. Over the past few weeks I have researched several different articles on advertising indie games, and the common observation across them all is that it isn’t really worth advertising unless you can set aside a budget of at least $500.

Once you do launch your advertising campaign, make sure you check results on a daily basis. All advertisement sites include analytics tools, so make sure you use them. Check which sites perform best and suspend poorly performing sites/adverts. Never just leave a campaign to run itself, ...
