About the money

It would be wonderful to live on the Enterprise (the space craft of the programme Star Trek), where no one seems concerned about money. But we don’t! Although we should enjoy our jobs, we work in order to be paid so we can afford the life we live outside our work environment.

When Jill went on her first job interview, she was asked what she thought she was worth. All she knew was what her salary might be if she went to work for the federal government. Jill had no idea what her salary might be if she worked for a corporation. The interviewer told her she was worth more than she realized, and the offer Jill received proved it to be true.
