Contributor Biographies

Scott L. Robinson is a senior commercial real estate professional with extensive REIT, bulge‐bracket, and middle‐market experience in capital markets, investment banking, and credit analysis. He is a Managing Director and co‐head of real estate investment banking at Oberon Securities and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Finance at the Schack Institute of Real Estate, where he is also Program Coordinator for the Finance & Investment curriculum and Director of the REIT Center. His career success as an advisor, investor, and professor is a direct result of his keen attention to details, broad economic understanding, and competitive determination.

At Oberon Securities, an NYC‐based broker dealer, he oversees a team of finance professionals serving the middle‐market segment. He has built a reputation for execution of capital placement, transaction structuring, and M&A/strategic advisory. Notable transactions include the recapitalization and pre‐IPO advisement of Plymouth Industrial (NYSE: PLYM) and the arrangement of a programmatic, multi‐tiered equity partner for a private industrial platform.

He is currently an advisor to a FinTech start‐up focused on bringing algorithmic trading to the REIT and real asset sectors, and he serves on the Board of Directors of Monmouth Real Estate Investment Trust (NYSE: MNR), which he helped grow from a $200 million enterprise to its present $3,000 million total capitalization.
