IS PRIVACY A HUMAN RIGHT? That’s a serious question when it comes to our online data, the fuel that powers persuasive AI algorithms. The laws that protect our privacy continue to evolve even as the data about us continues to be turned into a commodity, traded by data brokers, and then acted upon in the marketplace—often without our knowing that it is even happening.
